Narked at 90, "Gordon Smith Innovation Award"

John Routley from Narked at 90 gives his acceptance speech for this award. Transcript. "Hi, this is John Routley from Narked at 90. We are very disappointed that we couldn't be there in person to accept this award, so Stuart has asked me to record a few words. Firstly, I would like to say how blown away we are at receiving this prestigious award. The fact that this award is dedicated to such a great man has me humbled somewhat and reminds me of a saying about "walking in the halls of giants". The cell checker has come a long way from its first design that Brent and I worked on back in 2005, not to be perturbed by the lack of support from the Inspiration list in 2006, we took it in our stride because diver safety is our guiding principle at Narked at 90. Just over a year later we feel that we have made a difference, and we would like to thank everyone who has supported us, both on Rebreatherworld and by buying our products. The Cell Checker is the culmination of a lot of hard work to produce something that would prevent accidents from the premature failure of oxygen cells, which we all know is a huge problem. We've lost too many friends already. At this time we would like to take this opportunity to give special thanks to two very special individuals who made this product possible. Neil Barker and Anne Marie McAtteer. Thank you Rebreatherworld and thank you Stuart."
